Home Groups Minister (Female)

The Home Groups Minister is responsible for equipping the leaders and members of the Home Groups Ministry to execute the mission of Citizens Church which is to “Enjoy God, Love People and Make Disciples” within the context of gospel community. They do so by working joyfully together to discover, develop and deploy group leaders for the work of ministry and for building up the body of Christ.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in development and organization of regular training, curriculum and events for Home Group coaches and leaders
  • Collaborate internally with Lead Home Groups Minister on resourcing, equipping and discipling Home Group coaches and leaders
  • Assist Lead Home Groups Minister in executing the strategic vision into practical operations and processes
  • Organize and execute Home Group leader equipping, connecting, outreach and sending events
  • Equip and develop existing Home Group coaches and leaders for the work of ministry through teaching, modeling and coaching
  • Recruit, train and onboard new Home Group leaders and coaches
  • Share writing duties of weekly Home Group guides and other curricula
  • Coordinate and execute regular (bi-monthly/quarterly) meetings for women’s Home Group coaches
  • Relational oversight of Home Group coaches and leaders: cultivate and maintain a shepherding relationship with coaches and leaders by providing them with responsive communication, guidance, encouragement and support on a regular basis
  • Oversee the care and counsel for Home Group leaders and members in difficult seasons
  • Lead organization and maintenance of Home Group yearly calendar of events
  • Manage high volumes of inbound communication with Home Group coaches and leaders in a timely manner
  • Oversee outbound communications and announcements through multiple channels (Slack, email)

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Commit to exhibiting a lifestyle that is consistent with Citizens Church’s Statement of Faith 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of ministry leadership experience
  • Highly gifted in administration, organization, planning and teaching
  • Training and fluency in both systematic and biblical theology
  • Understanding of church theology, philosophy and practice of ministry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to organize leaders and volunteers
  • Proficient in administrative systems (e.g. Nexonia, Google Drive, etc.)
  • Able to problem solve, manage conflict and work well on a team
  • Self-starter, flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent time management
