Ministry Assistant
The ministry assistant will support adult spiritual formation ministries of Citizens Church by performing administrative tasks, coordinating calendars, ensuring proper communication, and organizing ministry events and volunteers. This role requires someone who is passionate about the impact of ministry in the church, administratively gifted, and experienced in being an intuitive, proactive gap-filler. Deliverables and the leaders supported in this role will vary greatly and will require excellent time-management and communication skills as well as a flexible schedule.
Job Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning
Implement strategy and minstry initiatives
Coordinate and collaborate between ministries
Aid in ministry scheduling and calendaring
Help maintain expenses within budgets
Tactical Execution
Project management
Organize vendors, orders, and ministry events
Setup and teardown of events
Maintain groups, email lists, materials and communications
Support member weddings and funerals
People Development
Display a Christ-like love for people
Support ministry leads
Coordinate and equip ministry volunteers
Interact and help ministry participants
Administration
Manage time to balance support between the needs of ministries
Ensure task, communications and events are well organized, clear and consistent
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred
1+ years of ministry experience
Project and/or event management experience
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, etc.)
Able to organize leaders and volunteers
Proficient in administrative systems and platforms (e.g. Google or Office Suite, etc.)
Able to make decisions, problem solve, manage conflict and work well on a team
Self-starter, learner, flexible and adaptable
Demonstrate good time management
Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
