About Citizens Church Institute

Citizens Church Institute exists to equip disciples of Jesus to know, obey, and convey all that Christ commanded. Our aim is to foster theological formation for everyone. To accomplish this goal, the Institute offers (12) seven-week courses to increase your theological depth and deepen your spiritual formation, all for God’s mission.  Learn more about the Citizens Church Institute here.  Join us at an Interest Meeting on Sunday, August 4 after service in Conference Room A. 

Registration is open! Your registration will include two, 7-week courses and all course materials. Below are the two courses offered this fall. 

Fall 2024 Courses 
Dates: Thursdays, August 29 - December 5 

Course 1: The Gospel – This course will expose you to the depth, breadth, and diversity of the gospel. In addition, it will help you identify false gospels which threaten true joy. Through study, discussion, the key project, and the Spirit’s power, you will arrive at the gospel simplicity on the other side of complexity, stirred to give your life to the good news.  Gospel Class Syllabus

Course 2: Devotion  – This course will immerse you in the classic spiritual disciplines, but with a pulsing grace meant to increase your joy in the Lord. Moreover, you will be equipped to identify secular liturgies which work against our formation in Christ. Through study, discussion, the key project, and the Spirit’s power, you will develop a personal liturgy that enables you to enjoy communion with God over a lifetime.  Devotion Class Syllabus
