Following Jesus Together

The purpose of Home Groups at Citizens Church is to build long-term, mutual, whole-person discipleship in the context of a distinctively Christian Community. Our groups meet weekly in Plano and the surrounding communities. 


The first step in joining a Home Group is attending Group Connect. This class introduces you to the practices and philosophies of Home Groups while you build connections with the other people at your table. Register for our next Group Connect below.

Participate in the Group Connect class.

Join a Community

We will connect you with a home group that is multi-generational and in close proximity to you.

How Home Groups Work at Citizens Church

Meet

Groups meet anywhere from 2 – 4 times a month in homes throughout Collin County and surrounding areas.

Encourage

Individuals will share praises and testimonies and encourage one another in love and accountability.

Study

There is a time to reflect on the past Sunday sermon or to walk through a group study together.

Serve

Groups find ways to help one another in times of need and to serve their communities together.

Pray

There is ongoing prayer for one another throughout the week and when you meet as a group.

Practice

Groups are encouraged and taught how to live out the truths of God’s word in their daily and weekly life, through spiritual practices and disciplines.


How to Lead a Home Group

Apply

We ask that you take 30 – 45 minutes and complete our Home Group leader application.

Complete

You will meet with one of our ministers to get to know one another and learn more about the role.

Launch

We will place leaders with a new group at one of our quarterly Group Connect workshops.
