Following Joshua’s funeral, the memory of this faithful servant to a faithful God fades into history. Having failed to completely drive out the inhabitants of Canaan, Israel is exposed to the ungodly practices of the people. The cycle of their obedience and disobedience will be further explored in the first Judges’ stories.
