About Jerica

I live in Frisco, Texas, and have been married to my husband, Erik, since 2005. We have two sons, Jack and Jacob, and enjoy adventures and being outdoors (preferably when it’s not 175 degrees outside). We first came to Citizens Church on January 3, 2021, and it felt like home right away. Before we even met anyone we knew that these are our people. This is our family. What a gift from the Lord Citizens Church has been to us.

I have the privilege of sharing hope through the gospel of Christ in various settings. I have served in recovery ministry in the church as well as in prison and jail. I began ministering to incarcerated women in 2017, a few years after the Lord mercifully rescued me from the effects of the abuse I experienced in my childhood. He sought me out, pursued me, unconditionally loved me, and continues to bind up my wounds. These are testimonies He’s entrusted and equipped me with to carry to the broken and hurting.

Isaiah 61 is my favorite chapter in the Bible and verse 4 is a life verse for me: “They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastation of many generations.”

My Hope for Citizens Church

My hope for Citizens Church is that Jesus would be the center of all we do and that our lives would beckon others to taste and see that the Lord is indeed good.
