  • What does it mean to be a part of the family of God and how do we help others become part of the family of God?
  • How does belonging to the family of God help us combat anxiety, loneliness, and other mental health issues?

Healthy Relationships within the Family of God

Speakers: Aina Carruth & Tymarcus Ragland
In the family of God, friendship is often spoken of using the paradigm of “brothers and sisters” and even “mothers and fathers” (1 Timothy 5:1-3).  This session provides practical tools rooted in biblical truths and concepts that inform how we consider and exist in friendship.

  • What is God’s design for friendship and how to handle friendships between men and women?
  • How does the “brother-sister” paradigm change our understanding of relationships, forgiveness, and conflict?
  • What relationships do I have and how can I move forward in wisdom?
Childcare will be available for birth through kindergarten.

Discipleship in Parenting

Speakers: Adam & Chelsea Griffin and Jen & Jeff Wilkin
God’s word stresses the importance of healthy relationships in the nuclear family, and within the family of God. During this session you will be encouraged and equipped as parents — in both the physical and spiritual sense — as we answer these questions:

  • How does the gospel inform the way we view our role as parents and how we shepherd our children?
  • How can I apply this call of discipleship in my life? What are practical examples of how this looks in others’ lives?
  • How does the family of God paradigm invite all of us (single, barren, etc.) to assume the role of spiritual parent for those around us?
Childcare will be available for birth through kindergarten.
