Week 2: Rejoice in Suffering (Philippians 1)

February 12, 2024

Paul planted the church at Philippi on his second missionary journey, and the Philippian believers continued to support Paul financially over the duration of his ministry. Paul begins by thanking God for their partnership in the gospel, which will be a theme throughout the letter. He implores them to take heart, stand firm, and rejoice, even in suffering, knowing the gospel is advancing.
