Why Citizens?

December 16, 2020

We’ve been told that our name is a bit strange and confusing. And we get that, but we also chose it very intentionally. The Bible refers to Christians as “citizens of heaven,” people who live in this kingdom today but actually belong to a different kingdom, God’s kingdom.

As a part of that, we are meant to live in a way that is distinct and different, under the kingship of Jesus Christ. At Citizens Church, we want our lives and actions to reflect that truth and to be an answer to the Lord’s Prayer, making things here on earth as they are in heaven.
