Associate Students Minister
I am an Austinite through and through, and I lived there my entire life before moving up here to McKinney in January of 2022. I was blessed from a young age with men and women who had a positive influence in my life—helping me along the way to further understand more about who God is and what He has done. I saw the huge value of mentorship and the impact it can have on people's lives and have always looked back to those next in line. Just as others have impacted the trajectory of my life, I want to help influence the next generation in a positive way that brings God glory.
I have been blessed to be a part of various ministries where I was able to pour into kids K–12 as well as college students. From camp life to church youth, I have gotten to work as a volunteer and a staff member in various roles.
In 2020 I decided to take a gap year from school and went into a year-long discipleship program through Pine Cove called The Forge. The program is designed to help 20-somethings develop a faith worth following. It was here that I was shaped by various experiences, seminary classwork, and being intentionally discipled. It was also here that I met the woman of my dreams, my beautiful wife Jenna. Moving to a new city was a challenge, but we came to Citizens Church on our first Sunday and have been here ever since. We love getting to call Citizens Church home!
My hope is that we would steward the level of influence God has given us with humility and wisdom. That as we continue to grow, we would put God before any man, consistently holding one another accountable to the ministry at hand. We would not solely be ambassadors of our church but, more importantly, wouldn't lose the vision that we are first ambassadors of the Lord.
