In October of 2011, I was in my first semester of college at UT Dallas and was invited to a Christian weekend retreat by another student. I had no idea my life would change forever that weekend. During a time of worship, God revealed Himself to me and captured my heart. From that point on, I had a deep desire to know and be more like Jesus, but it wouldn't be for another year that I would be discipled by Campus Outreach staff who taught me how to read the Bible, pray, and share my faith.
In 2015, my now wife and I married, and have since had a boy who was born in August 2022.
Our time with Citizens Church started back when it launched as the Plano Campus of The Village Church in 2014.
My hope for Citizens Church is that the "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23) of the Spirit would be on full display in and through us.
That we would be a John 13:34–35 people, marked by how we love one another and make much of Jesus, the one who first showed us how.
We hold to the central beliefs of the Christian faith, as communicated throughout Scripture and summed up in the ancient creeds of the Church.
