Kids Minister
I grew up in a home with a family who loves Jesus and showed me the kindness and love of the Lord. By the grace of God, there is not a time in my life that I can remember not knowing that Jesus loves me and died for my salvation. At a young age, the Lord brought me to a saving knowledge of Himself and my faith became my own. From that time forward, the Lord began to show me the surpassing joy of seeking Him, serving Him and walking with Him in every area of my life as He has graciously continued to sanctify me. The more I began to see and experience Jesus through serving Him, the more I fell in love with Him, and by the time I was in high school, the Lord had placed a strong and unwavering desire and burden in my heart to serve Him by loving and serving children and teaching them the glories of the gospel.
After graduating high school, I was given the privilege and opportunity to become a part-time employee at the church I grew up in called Grace Bible, where I served as the nursery and preschool director, while also attending nursing school. Serving the children at Grace Bible was truly my greatest joy, and I treasured every moment of my time with the children God placed before me to serve and care for. During this time, the Lord was so faithful to increasingly show me that through loving and serving them, I was ultimately doing it unto Him first, opening my eyes to just how precious the work of Children’s Ministry truly is. Because of this, each task and each moment became to me sacred time spent with the Lord, where He was tenderly teaching me and transforming me. I am so thankful for all the ways that the Lord gave me more of Himself through my time there, and for all that I learned!
After graduating nursing school and officially becoming a registered nurse, I took a position as a full-time nurse in the ICU, while also continuing to work part-time at Grace Bible as the nursery and preschool director. Despite the challenges of maintaining two jobs, I simply could not stop serving in Childrens Ministry! Having followed the ministry of Citizens Church from afar for some time with great admiration, I instantly recognized Jesus through how the people of Citizens love and serve one another. Because of this, I leaped at the opportunity to become a part of Citizens Church, and I am grateful and overjoyed to be stepping into the role of Kid’s Minister! I am so excited and thankful to become a part of all the Lord is doing in the hearts of the kids that He loves so dearly at Citizens.
My hope for Citizens church is that we would be people who live as faithful representatives of His kingdom to the world, being agents of light in this present day until He returns. I pray that we would be reflections of Christ to one another and to the world in a way that makes the world look more like the kingdom of God and brings glory to the Father.
